About the Game

This is an uplifting, encouraging TTRPG about picking and choosing a goal, then working toward it. You can play it as yourself or any fictional character you'd like, making a list of goals that person would love to solve to improve the world.

Using a deck of cards and a die, you'll work toward your goal one day at a time. The game uses a simple, flexible system for the player to choose what happened each day depending on whether it was a good or bad event and what category it falls under.

This aims to teach a person:

  • That they're capable of giving any problem a nudge in the right direction.
  • To overcome difficulties when working toward their goals.
  • That goals aren't all-or-nothing, and that it's okay to change your goals as life comes at them!

Designer's Notes

This game was created for Hyper 1 HOUR Game Jam #19 (Changing Movements)

I've added a Designer's Notes edition of the game! This PDF is meant to be read digitally and just dives into my thoughts, decisions, and inspirations for the game.

Everyone who gets a copy of the game gets it as a bonus :D

The Hyper 1 HOUR Game Jam

This game was created for Hyper 1 HOUR Game Jam #19 (Changing Movements), well at least sort of... It took me far longer than an hour, but it was 100% inspired by the theme of changing movements when I saw that one of the sample uses of "movement" was "the civil rights movement."

I printed this and played it today for the first time today. I loved coming up with the "Things I want to change," and the low stakes reflection and journaling I did about my chosen goal was really wonderful to then apply to my life. This game is a really creative and pleasant way to turn goals and barriers into a more open conversation with yourself. It left me in a very good mood and feeling positive about myself after finishing the game. I hope to play it again soon!

Oh yay!! Thank you so much for saying so 🧡 I feel like I get overwhelmed by everything I wanna do, and if I can't even complete basic tasks, how am I supposed to make a difference in the world, ya know? So I hoped the opposite direction would be as inspirational as that direction is debilitating

Leaving you feeling positive was 1000000000% the goal of this game, and it makes me so incredibly happy that it happened! I really appreciate you sharing this with me :D
