Counting Flowers
A downloadable Card Game
Counting Flowers is a shifting memory game. You’ll move your pawns from card to card, secretly looking at the card you’ve interacted with. If you can remember (or guess!) where a matching card is, you’ll gain Comfort Points (from Flowers) or Coping Mechanisms (from Encounters). But fail to make a match and you'll find that this isn't your typical memory game. Some Encounters will have you fleeing, shuffling, and finding it difficult to remember what's what.
Counting Flowers was made for the Bethie's Extraordinary Playlist game jam. It is inspired by the song Counting Flowers on the Wall by the Statler Bros (although I enjoy the cover by Eric Heatherly more). The cards are designed around a 60's theme, to give a nod to the era the song was originally released in.
The print and play includes 44 cards with backs that will need to be cut out and sleeved. I did not provide an ink/printer-friendly file with this game because I felt the art style was important to the theme of the game.
