The Anti-Remembering-Stuff Club

I've been cranking out zines left and right this month, but when I hit the "Memories" prompt I was stumped. Angel came up with such a beautiful zine for the month celebrating her grandmas, but I sat here like... "What memory should I write about"? It wasn't about narrowing down my choices, it was about picking literally anything at all that I haven't written about a million times. Even my discovery of being trans is lost from my mind now... 

And don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my life. I know Angel and I have a lot of awesomeness in our past. I know I have good memories. But... I dunno if my brain works differently from other people or what, I just don't feel my memories. 

So I decided to write about THAT. About how my memories work. About why I'm delighted that my memory works the way it does. Maybe I'm not the only one who feels and remembers this way!

This 8-page zine was written for the #minizinejuly23 challenge on Instagram posted by @blancisthecreative. The prompt for July 21-25 was Memories, with instructions to "Share a cherished memory or string of memories like your first day of school or a fun road trip." And yes, I'm still behind but I'm catching up, I posted this on the 30th... 🥳
