You're an immortal wizard adventuring in the nearby woods. They're mysterious and ever-changing, full of friends and foes. Each adventure, you'll fill a single "page" (anything from a post-it note to a piece of poster board) with your experiences, drawing and writing as you succeed and fail at challenges using your WHIMSY and REASON.

This is an introductory TTRPG, meaning that we simplified all of the systems in the game for beginners, but it's also a full-fledged adventure for experienced gamers, too!

The Welcome to TTRPGs Jam

We created this for the Welcome to TTRPGs jam, which was an amazing challenge! Thanks to BrambleBerryGames for running the jam and inspiring this game. 🧡 

Credit Where Credit's Due

This game is a blend of our own ideas, prompts, and story with three terrific systems and games. I give each of these full credit at the end of the PDF, but here's a quick rundown:

• The Carta SRD is used in the grid of cards representing the woods you explore, as well as using those cards for prompts.
• The combination of two stats using a single number comes from Lasers & Feelings. In this game, your stats are "whimsy" and "reason." This single-stat number makes checking for success and failure far easier.
• Finally, from One Page Left, you fill out a single "page" throughout the game. Unlike One Page Left, there are no penalties for accidentally writing over existing writing, and you don't lose when the page is full. But this ensures people aren't journaling or writing too much throughout the game! :D

We Have Not Playtested This Yet!

This game is marked as "in development" because, while we finished it in time for the Welcome to TTRPGs jam, we didn't have time to playtest it. I am hoping to playtest it and complete the game before the end of January. If you own a copy (via purchase or community copy), you'll get an email when the game is complete.
