Ludum Dare Results Are In!
The Ludum Dare results are in! How'd The Epicathelon do? Not too bad at all :D
So, I've attached the results, which look kinda sad at first glance. If you had no idea how many people entered something and you were told you were 258th overall, you'd probably feel like you did an awful job. But Ludum Dare is huge, and it requires perspective 👀
There were 2,414 total submissions, and of those, 1,705 received at least 20 ratings, thus securing a spot in the rankings. 258th place divided by 1,705 entries tells us that The Epicathelon was 15.131964...%-th, which means it was securely in the top 15.5% overall! That's pretty darn awesome if you ask me 🥳
If you got ranked in Ludum Dare too, or if you've been part of some other big jam/contest/etc and you were sad because you didn't win or weren't in the top 10, top 100, etc, remember to do the math and see just how well you did overall.
And also remember: even if you're 75,000th out of 75,000, you did something, you tried! You learned (probably)! And that's way better than not doing anything at all. Go you!
