The Epicathelon
A downloadable game
Welcome to The Epicathelon, a grueling race through the perilous mountains, rivers, and earth. Each player controls three sets of teams who will have to push forward through this treacherous terrain together...or retreat back to safety if a team member falls behind.
The Epicathelon is a push-your-luck roll-and-move game where players rapidly roll and save a dwindling number of dice per round, risking pushing their meeples forward across separate tracks until they stop...by choice or by force. But beware: time is ticking, and it's very possible that the course itself will be victorious over the humans who so wrongly think they can handle the earth as well as the animals do.
Note: You will need to have the following components on hand to play.
- A printed game sheet
- 6 dice (six-sided, standard) per player
- 3 meeples/tokens per player (differentiatable)
- 2 additional meeples/tokens
- A timer (like a timer app or whatever) to track 10 second intervals, such as this one: https://www.online-stopwatch.com/timer/10seconds/
This game was created in 72 hours for the Ludum Dare Jam which had the theme of "Every 10 Seconds".
