Night Shift at the Swift Thrift

You Need:

• A standard deck of cards (with Jokers)
• A six-sided die (d6)
• Something to catalog your adventures in
• Thrift store finds

Night Shift at the Swift Thrift is a solo journaling RPG about working a shift at the thrift store. When it has quieted down enough, people who bring in their donations get chatty about the stories behind the items they're dropping off. This is a short little writing game where you can journal as little or as much as you'd like about each customer interaction you have on your shift. 

I do see this working in a multiplayer scenario where people take turns making up stories about used items they found at a thrift store. But for now, I am sticking with the solo version. 

Inspiration

This game was created using a prompt from the Zine Idea Generator to "Make a Table-Top-RPG zine that tells secrets about thrift store treasures."

How Do I Fold It Though?

Note: There are two versions: 

• A digital book makes it easy to read without printing. 
• A quarter-sheet-sized zine formatted for printing and folding into a pamphlet. The pdf includes instructions on how to easily print, cut, and assemble the zine.
