Memories of My Grandmas

Mini Zine July 2024

An 8-page zine written for the #minizinejuly23 challenge on instagram posted by blancisthecreative. The prompt for July 21-25 was Memories, with instructions to "Share a cherished memory or string of memories like your first day of school or a fun road trip."  There are so many memories to write about, so this was difficult for me to choose.

About

 When my grandma passed away, I wrote a poem about her. When my memaw passed away, I couldn't find the words. Even though she passed a couple of years ago now, I still tear up with all the reminders of how much I miss her. I thought it was time to try to put a few things into words for memaw too and included the poem and a few words about grandma to go along with it.
