How Do I Miss Thee?

Inspirations

This was created for @blancisthecreative's #minizinejuly25. July 21st -25th prompt: "Heart Dump".  "A heart dump is putting everything brewing in your heart on to the page. Give yourself space in your mini zine to feel your feelings."

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to also create a zine for the Perzine Jam.

I started with the inspirations rather than the description just so you can have an idea where the zine is coming from. My grandmother's (memaw) birthday was not long ago. She would've turned 95...  She regularly finds her way into my thoughts. 

About the zine

I had never heard of a "heart dump zine" before seeing the Mini Zine July prompt, but How Do I Miss Thee? is definitely that. I took the space in the zine to list the ways I miss my longest and dearest friendship. Grief this deep is odd, in that I can be ok and then a smell or sound or random thing can just make my heart ache for her presence and miss her. There were a lot of happy and sad tears shed in writing this, and so it is indeed a (very personal) perzine. But I am happy to share my memories of her and how I miss her, as it keeps the memory of her living on. Thanks to Blancisthecreative and the Perzine Jam for creating the space and challenge to write it.
