as a trans guy, men's clothes just fit my body so much better and more comfortably. it seems like the majority of womens' clothes are not designed for people with curves or larger people. and even casual womens' shirts seem cut to show off the figure of the person wearing them... i hate it all, i much prefer men's or unisex.
Oh hey, hi there! 🙋♀️ Thanks for sharing! Angel, my partner, actually wears a lot of men's shirts because they fit so much better and she's a cis gal. She's also taller, so a lot of women's stuff is short on her, both in the arms and torso, so if she raises her arms at all it exposes skin.
I also just LOVE how well that worked out for you! You get gender validity AND comfort all in one! Plus, as I've been learning with women's clothes, I'm sure you're enjoying actually having pockets lol. I swear, I used to have pockets so big that I could carry a Nintendo Switch, a water bottle (or two!), wallet, notebook and pen, phone, and whatever else. Now I don't own a single women's piece with a pocket 😭😭😭😭😭😭
And ugh lol yeah I'm a plus-size gal, so I don't wanna show these curves off, no one wants to see em 🤣
yeah, it ended up working out pretty well for me in that regard! and yes, absolutely, i love actually having pockets! even unisex clothing is far better about pockets than womens' clothing. it's so maddening that, in many of my older womens' pants, they have pockets- BUT THE POCKETS ARE SEWN CLOSED! they literally made pockets and then made them unusuable!! i'm half convinced they just want to sell more purses and handbags, which is why so many pockets in womens' clothing are awful, haha!
OMG LOL fake pockets are the worst! Like "hey if we wanted to, we could've put pockets here, but you can see we clearly decided against it. Sucks to be you!"
That definitely makes sense about purses and handbags... I always loved carrying a satchel as a dude, but haven't really gone much of anywhere in years so haven't had the need for it. And with it being cold, at least our hoodies have pockets! Plus when it's this cold, I wear pants under my skirts, and those have pockets... it just looks a lil weird getting to those pockets 🤣

There are lots of cool specifically-for-trans-women clothing shops online but yeah, they are SUPER pricy...

it's worth checking out, you might get lucky! And even of there isn't clothes that fit, you can find some rocking accessories!
